Position Overview:
This placement is ideal for students currently enrolled in an APA-accredited clinical or counseling psychology doctoral program (PhD or PsyD), who have completed foundational coursework and are ready for supervised clinical experience, with a strong interest in both psychological assessment and therapy.
As a Practicum Student, you'll gain valuable supervised experience and mentorship in conducting assessments and providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in a supportive outpatient private practice setting. You'll build core competencies in evidence-based interventions, diagnostic evaluations (including ADHD, autism, cognitive/personality testing), and case conceptualization while learning about the day-to-day operations of a successful independent practice. As a key member of our dynamic, collaborative team, you'll receive structured supervision (individual and group) to support your growth toward becoming a competent, ethical psychologist.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication: Engage with clients to gather relevant background information and set expectations.
Intake Process: Complete comprehensive intake assessments for new clients.
Assessment Administration: Determine appropriate assessments to administer, and conduct assessments with clients.
Data Integration and Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to make accurate diagnoses.
Treatment Plans and Recommendations: Develop treatment plans and recommendations based on assessment results.
Evaluation Reports: Write detailed evaluation reports and provide feedback to clients.
Therapy (Optional): Provide therapeutic services, as desired and based on your skillset.
Billing Notes: Complete billing notes for all services rendered.

Ideal Candidate:
Recent graduate of a clinical counseling psychology APA-accredited doctoral program and predoctoral internship.
Strong interest in both psychological assessment and therapy.
Ability to integrate assessment data and generate comprehensive reports.
Comfortable providing therapy to a diverse client base.
Willingness to learn and work in a private practice setting.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
